Marshall Amp Modifications
We offer one of the most dynamic Marshall mods available. The
amp is transformed into a high head room four gain stage pre-amp
design loaded with rich compression and sustain. The notes seem
to explode off the strings in the same way as the early VH brown
sound. This mod allows the amp to be extremely responsive to the
guitars volume control and pickups. Rolling back on the volume
cleans the amp dramatically and playing heavier gives it more
muscle. We start with any four input or JCM 800 single channel
without reverb and the new 1959SLP, 1987X, JCM 800 reissue models.
After the mod all these amps will sound identical except for the
power section of the 50 watt. We thoroughly check the amp out
replacing all tubes to get the amp up to specs before we perform
the mod. All components that are replaced are solder back to the
circuit board to give the amp an inside factory appearance. The
amp will have a footswitchable rhythm and lead mode, that goes
from the Brown Sound to a modern high gain tone with tight low
end response. A footswitchable solo volume boost to get you over
the top of the mix during solo's. We do not add any extra tubes
and there is no diode clipping circuit. The footswitch
jack is located on the front or rear depending on which amp is
used. The solo volume control is located on the front panel, taking
place of one of the inputs. The footswitch will be a two button
type without LED's to switch between modes and the solo boost.

such as filter caps, tubes or etc that will be extra. The customer
is responsible for shipping charges to and from our shop. This
modification has taken years of R&D to dial in for the desired
tone, so please do not ask us for a schematic for this modification.
